I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! I made a few minor changes to my blog over the weekend.
First of all, I added two new buttons below the header at the top of the page. I made a new page called Good Reads that has a few of the blogs I like to read. They’re the same blogs that used to be on the sidebar near the bottom but I wanted a cleaner look and moved them. I also added a Links page with links to topics that are important to me such as Childhood Cancer and Organ Donation.
The last change I made was for the 31 Day Challenge. See the icon for it over on the right sidebar? If you click it you will be taken to a new page with links to everything I’ve posted about the challenge. It will be a lot easier to find the posts I’ve wrote about it! 🙂
I haven’t posted any Instagram photos lately so here a just a few! 🙂
Way back before Christmas Kallie broke an arm off my glasses and I still haven’t got around to getting new ones (they aren’t fixable) so I’ve been wearing them with one arm. I’m blind as a bat and always wear my contacts but I’ve been trying to wear my glasses around the house a little more. They kind of work… until I have to look down to see something.
So, I decided to fix them. There’s nothing a little hot glue can’t fix… well I shouldn’t say that. 4 hours later they broke again. I’ve been re-glueing them every time they break and for a couple of hours I can look down without them falling off! 🙂
Don’t worry, if I’m outside or driving you will not see me wearing broken glasses. That’s what my contacts are for! 🙂
Kallie loves playing with her set of Mr. Potato heads (we have the Mr., Mrs., Kid#1, and Kid #2). I was busy getting lunch ready and wondered why there were Potato head parts beside my fruit bowl. I literally laughed out loud when I saw her trying to create another potato head with an orange from my fruit bowl. It is a pretty smart idea though!
Both Kallie and Bronson have been sick all week and there’s nothing like a nice warm bath when you’re not feeling well. We stayed over a night at Jon’s parents house and Kallie loves taking baths in Nanny’s tub! 🙂
Bronson and his cousin, Lucas, are the only grandsons in the family. Once Bronson is walking I think that they’re going to be quite the pair. Trouble will follow them where ever they go!
On Saturday they had their Poppy swinging them back and forth in a rubbermaid container and loved every minute of it! (Poor Poppy!). This was the best picture I could get because they wouldn’t stay still. Typical boys.
I love DVD players in vehicles. They make the trip soo much more quiet! 🙂
Strawberry Shortcake was the movie for this trip and Kallie was glued to it (as usual). Poor Bronson still has a rear facing car seat and was turning his head trying to see the movie. Two more months and he can face forward and enjoy a movie without hurting his neck!
Speaking of two more months, Bronson turned 10 months old on Friday! I can’t believe that he’s almost one!
On Sunday morning I opened Bronson’s door and almost had a heart attack when I saw him standing up in the crib! On Friday he learned how to go from a laying down position to a sitting position and has been doing it ever since. Saturday night I told Jon that we needed to move his mattress down because it was only a matter of time before he would be standing. Going to bed Saturday night I kept pictured him falling out of his crib so I placed a duvet blanket around the floor of his crib just in case he tipped out. He didn’t fal out but he certainly learned to stand up very quickly! What a little stinker! 🙂
What were you up to this weekend?
